I read a story concerning a Widdershen in the Daily Prophet. I thought it was a bit odd that they wouldn't call it by its' name. Maybe they are frightened of it? People don't say the names of the things they're afraid of, but I don't understand that at all.

If you talk about something enough, surely your fear of it would diminish.

That is just my theory, of course.

Though there is nothing to be frightened of when it concerns a Widdershen. They are amongst the most docile creatures on the planet, though I do suppose they are quite protective of their young.

But, then again, so are people. You can't really call that an aggressive trait.

I think I shall write them a letter. The poor Widdershen has been misrepresented.

	Oh they are small purple creatures that like to live in crevices. When protecting their young, they will expand into a much larger shape and tower over their opponent. Otherwise, they are small and rather fuzzy. They bring good luck in some countries. (Reply to this) (Parent)

	They're small, purple and fuzzy. I'm sure you could have one for a pet, but be careful if they breed. The babies are no bigger than the tip of your thumb, and the parents will do what it takes to make sure they make it to adulthood. (Reply to this) (Parent)
