I read a story concerning a Widdershen in the Daily Prophet. I thought it was a bit odd that they wouldn't call it by its' name. Maybe they are frightened of it? People don't say the names of the things they're afraid of, but I don't understand that at all.

If you talk about something enough, surely your fear of it would diminish.

That is just my theory, of course.

Though there is nothing to be frightened of when it concerns a Widdershen. They are amongst the most docile creatures on the planet, though I do suppose they are quite protective of their young.

But, then again, so are people. You can't really call that an aggressive trait.

I think I shall write them a letter. The poor Widdershen has been misrepresented.

You're a wise girl. Luna Lovegood, was it?

I'm happy that you think so.

That is my name.

You should most definitely write to them, Luna. Or if you'd like, I can write up a proper article for you.

That would be lovely! Thank you so much, Ernie.

It is a very good theory.

I think so too. It's too bad people don't put it into practice more often.

Perhaps it will catch on.

That's a lovely thought. :) I hope so too!

Not all people are protective of their young, you know.

Why is that?

It's just life. Not everyone has a perfect cookie cutter family unit. Divorce is on the rise. Surely you know all this?

Divorce doesn't mean the parents stop loving their children, however.

I guess I'm lucky to just have my Dad.

Oy, Luna, you can't tell me you don't realise there are plenty of parents who don't? Or can't?

I suppose so.

Your fish fare well.

I guess so, but that's rather sad. It makes me feel like showering those children with all the love they're missing.

Oh that's wonderful news.

That would take your entire life. And then some.

I'll find a way. It doesn't take much to let someone know they're loved.

Oh they are small purple creatures that like to live in crevices. When protecting their young, they will expand into a much larger shape and tower over their opponent. Otherwise, they are small and rather fuzzy. They bring good luck in some countries.

Oh, Luna! They sound really cute. What do they look like and can you have them as a pet?!

They're small, purple and fuzzy. I'm sure you could have one for a pet, but be careful if they breed. The babies are no bigger than the tip of your thumb, and the parents will do what it takes to make sure they make it to adulthood.
